Lemon tarts, chocolate tarts, fruit tarts — with one French dough. Pâte sablée dough is simple and elegant and can be used in all sizes and shapes of tart shells. You will roll and shape tart dough in shells, take home the finished product, and also get a recipe for ganache and lemon cream. Perfect for parties, teas, luncheons or whenever a show-stopping dessert is required!
Classes will be demo-style, hands-on participation or a combination of those two styles. During the hands-on classes, attendees will work in small groups for portions of recipe preparation. You will be standing or sitting at high-top tables and working for most of the class.
Your instructor will be Chef Nora Kaschube. Nora is a 2007 graduate of the French Pastry School in Chicago with a L'Art de la Patisserie degree. She owned a dessert catering business — Four and Twenty Blackbirds — for six years and also taught pastry classes during that time. Pastry and art are her passions in life, and what better way to bring them together than beautiful French desserts!
