Calling all cowboys at heart! West Fest: National Day of the Cowboy is fun for children 10 years old and younger. Activities with purchase of museum admission or free to Kansas Historical Foundation members!
There’s so much to do! Explore new museum exhibits. Climb inside the full-sized covered wagon. Gallop through the gallery on stick ponies. Play cowboy bingo. Enjoy one stagecoach ride. Pet miniature horses and a mustang. Join in campfire sing-a-long. Practice roping Pan for gold. Make a bedazzled horseshoe. Learn to track animals. Play fun historic games. Get your face painted.
Stop and Farm stage coach rides also available for $3 per ride. 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Free hot dogs and chips while supplies last. Kettle corn and old-fashioned ice cream for sale all day.
