Be sure to see the captivating solo exhibition featuring Renée Stout, “Church of the Crossroads,” now on display at the Belger Arts Center! This wonderful exhibit brings together over 100 works from this Washington D.C. based artist for a sweeping in-depth perspective into her creative style.
This display is the first Belger Arts Center exhibit to feature Stout’s work since 2002, and this incredible solo showcase includes sculptures, paintings, prints and installations created by Stout and her alter-egos, Madam Ching and Fatima. These mesmerizing works deal with spirituality and the cultural roots of her African–American heritage, and invite visitors to challenge their own perspectives as they experience the singular artistic process of this fascinating artist.
