Young Heroes Camp Has Returned for the Summer—Enroll Your Children Today!

Great Plains SPCA is once again hosting our animal-oriented summer camp for kids! Don’t miss the chance to enroll your young animal lover in our unique summer camp program.

Children ages 8-12 will learn about pets in the care of Great Plains SPCA as well as other types of animals and how to be heroes for them. This is the only camp of its kind in the Kansas City community. Campers will learn about safety around animals, animal welfare issues, how youth can make a difference, relationships animals have with us and each other, animal careers and more.

Projects include making toys and treats for shelter pets or pets at home, making animal-themed art pieces, crafts, interactive games, and more. Curriculum emphasizes kindness, respect, responsibility, decision-making as well as movement, play, cooperation, problem-solving, reading and writing.

Camp runs from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday. The camp registration fee is $230 per child. A sibling from the same household during the same session is an additional $175. These fees cover camp costs and supports the 501(c)3 nonprofit.

Heroes will receive awesome T-shirts, an incredible animal care education, and memories to last a lifetime. Campers need to bring their own packed lunch every day. Make your reservation online today at http://www.greatplainsspca.org for your young animal lover!
