India Fest is a way for the India Association of Kansas City (IAKC) to display the rich, ethnic, and cultural diversity of India. This festival has become one of the premier events to occur in a greater city of Kansas and Missouri, with over tens of thousands of people attending every year. India Fest is an all-day event to experience the tastes, sounds, and sights of India. Live music, dance, food, and entertainment will be offered.
The theme of this year’s festival is “The Pursuit of Happiness.” This event will represent all the regional organizations of the Indian community who are collectively hosting this festival. India Fest gives the local community a glimpse of India through arts, culture, history, and people. India Fest is driven each year to help enrich the community and serve the people by the people.
The India Association of Kansas City is a non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian organization formed in 1965 with the primary purpose to serve the cultural and educational needs of the Indian Community in Greater Kansas City Area. Its objectives are to provide a common platform to all members living in the Greater Kansas City Area for pursuing their common goals and sharing their concerns while promoting joint efforts in the social, cultural and educational activities of the members.
