50 Countries, One Day: There Is Nothing Like This KC Festival

With more than 50 countries represented, you can experience the world in a day, and feel the world beat in the heart of America!

The volunteers of the non-profit Ethnic Enrichment Commission of Kansas City has brought to you one of the largest gatherings of multiculturalism - focusing on the traditional cultures found here in our home, Kansas City and its surrounding metro area –the 38th annual Ethnic Enrichment Festival.

This event is one of the largest festivals of its kind in the country and features more than 60 different cultures selling their native foods, crafts, and performing ethnic music and dances. The festival is held during the third full weekend of August near the front entrance of historic Swope Park.

This year we are proud to present three headlining commissions: Cuba, Hawaii, and Panama. They are performing at the Main Stage on Saturday at 7:45pm, 8:30pm, and 9:15pm, respectively.

Enjoy a show with a mango lasse from Pakistan or India, or refresh yourself with a freshly squeezed lemonade from Scotland. Maybe you're really hungry for a huge turkey leg from Ireland. There are sno cones at Hawaii if you want to cool down from the spicy Laotian curry. No matter what, a step on the festival grounds, is a step into a whole other planet - JOKING - we all live here on this one earth under one sky, and best of all, we all live in the best part of the United States of America. The world has much love to give and we are here to share it.

Although we provide the utmost luxury at Domain City Center Apartments in Lenexa, Kansas, we realize that you need to get out and socialize with those in your surrounding community. This event gives you the chance to do just that! Don’t hesitate to attend on Friday!
