Join us the first three weekends of October for some spooky, not scary, activities and entertainment.
Hoots and Howls is packed with fun for all ages! From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. you can cruise around on a pedal tractor, navigate a hay bale maze, sing along with our interactive DJ and take a ride on the Scare-o-cel. Enjoy a hayride around the Zoo and create a wild craft in the lobby. Our animals are joining in the fun by smashing pumpkins at scheduled times throughout the day.
On October 14th and 15th, minions are taking over the Kansas City Zoo. Get your picture taken with them from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pumpkin Smashes on Saturday, October 14 at red river hogs at 11:30a.m. and warthog at 2:30 p.m. On Sunday, October 15 smashes will be at lions and leopard at 9:30 a.m. and tigers at 3 p.m.
And then on October 21st and 22nd, may the force be with you! Star Wars characters travel from a galaxy far far away to the Kansas City Zoo to take pictures with our guests from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Enjoy pumpkin smashes on Saturday, October 21 at Discovery Barn and Tropics at 9:30 a.m. On Sunday, October 22 at hippo at 11 a.m., elephant at 11:30 a.m., and rhino at 12:30 p.m.
